Moodorgan releases “prv2: process remixes volume 2”

Los Angeles - December 15, 2009 – The Los Angeles-based darkwave/futurepop multimedia performance project announces the new release, moodorgan: prv2 (process remixes volume 2) on CD and digital download.

The record includes club remixes of Moodorgan tracks from the nexus CD and process EP, as well as previously-unreleased Moodorgan songs and bonus tracks by Catalog and black.empathy.box.

Musical contributors include Tom Shear of Assemblage 23 and Rikk Agnew of Christian Death, and the track selections showcase Moodorgan’s genre-crossing sound.

“Here in LA, the so-called goth/industrial scene really encompasses a remarkably wide range of styles and genres – from hard-hitting industrial and powernoise to synthpop and EBM to tribal and ethereal,” says Moodorgan frontman Peter. “This same sort of eclecticism has always been a part of the Moodorgan aesthetic and I think this fact is particularly apparent on the new record.”

On November 28 the release party for the CD was a headlining event at Hollywood’s Bar Sinister, a venue of worldwide reputation and arguably the premier “gothic” club in Los Angeles. Digital release (e.g., iTunes) is scheduled for December 21, 2009.

Moodorgan is currently booking 2010 tour dates for the US and Europe.
